Je Veux Obsession: Christopher Lee Sauve

Christopher Lee Sauve did not just create T-Shirts and impossibly cool graphics, he created something more, possibly a generation of fashion. Revolting against the industry, first with his "Save Anna!" campaign, created to keep Anna at Vogue while rumors soared that Anna was leaving the magazine. The revolution continued after Rachel Zoe's attorney contacted Sauve, stating his "I Die. Bananas!" graphic was already patented. Sauve shot back, "How can they trademark a fruit?" and even sent a global announcement to notify blogs and publications of this ruling. Sauve's artwork defines a rebellion which is often absent in the industry, leaving blogs and forums screaming with chatter. He has already received press from Vogue, Elle, and The Cut. We cannot wait to see what else Christopher has in store for us.

Alexander Wang Mens SS10 Preview

alexander wang men 2010 spring preview video 1 Alexander Wang for Men 2010 Spring Preview Video

You could imagine my ecstasy when I discovered this preview, shortly after viewing, the hype quickly dissipated. In all honesty, boring would be the correct word. I have heard this is only the T by Alexander Wang Men's collection,I hope so. As soon as I heard Alex was debuting a Men's collection in addition to his Women's, I was ecstatic, images of crocodile pant suits and feathered leather jackets flashed to mind (cue Fall 2009 collection), and I get basics, which aren't bad, but I was hoping for well...below. On the bright side, I won't have to purchase women's Wang tanks anymore.

I was hoping for more of a Dior Homme look, yet more affordable. Well, I am still excited beyond belief, lets hope this won't disapoint.

Rodarte for Target

We apologize for the lack of introduction , but news like this is impossible not to share! The Mulleavy sisters have teamed up with Target to create a 55 peice collection, we are told to expect loads of layering and even faux fur. We are all very curious as to how Rodarte's aestethic will appeal to the masses. The collection is said to launch December 20th throughout the majority of Target stores (until February 6, 2010). Target spokesman, Joshua Thomas mentioned to WWD,“There are stand-alone pieces and pieces that can be worn together to create an ensemble by layering different patterns, textures, and prints.” hmm, not sure if this statement is promising, target go collections always seem to disappoint me. However the prices seem to be, from $9.99 for knee-highs to $79.99 for a leopard print jacket. Regardless of my doubts, this collection will no doubt excite us. Stay Tuned!
